Our Story

Prananaz combines the best of both worlds for high impact – high-touch and high-tech. Our bespoke programs improve leadership effectiveness, employee well-being, employee engagement, and company culture which drives better business results.

Naz Beheshti founded Prananaz in 2012 after experiencing workplace stress and burnout. She worked for a decade at Fortune 500 companies in high-stress environments with limited time and resources to support her well-being. Eventually, she became disengaged and unhappy. While working in pharmaceutical sales visiting doctors every day, she quickly discovered a wellness gap.

Because doctors have many demands and can only spend a limited time with their patients, they typically are unable to explore their patient’s needs beyond their chief complaint. Therefore, patients go home with a temporary fix at best. The root of the problem is not addressed. Factors such as stress and lifestyle are swept under the rug and their underlying problems persist.

Stress and death are inevitable. However, we can take action to manage stress, build resilience, and prevent premature death by making better lifestyle choices. People need support and guidance in making better choices. Since the majority of our time is spent at work, Naz saw an opportunity to bridge the wellness gap by providing workplace wellness programs, benefiting both the employees and the organization. When employees feel better, businesses do better. It is a win-win situation.

Prananaz’s wellness programs are developed and inspired by her expertise and experiences and take a holistic approach based on neuroscience, positive psychology, and mindfulness. She has been fortunate to have worked with some of the most inspiring visionaries including Steve Jobs. Jobs was Naz’s greatest mentor and inspiration behind her book, Pause. Breathe. Choose.: Become the CEO of Your Well-Being. He had an early and profound influence on her belief that the ultimate wealth is well-being. She has also trained with world-renowned thought leaders in the field of health and wellness such as the Dalai Lama, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weil, Michael Pollan, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Mark Hyman, and Dr. Matthew Walker.

Her work has been widely featured in the media, including CNBC, Forbes, BBC, Yahoo, Entrepreneur, Inc., Fast Company, HuffPost, The Oprah Magazine, and many more.
